I chose the photo of the peony in my garden very intentionally. I love watching how the ants coax the flower buds open as they walk on them and drink the oozing sap that the buds offer. As the way of it in nature, it seems to require this symbiotic relationship for the flower to eventually unfurl in its fullness. This peony-and-ant dance each year reminds me that when we tend to what we love, each as we are, what is hidden within can be released into full view. It takes this mutuality to reveal the layers of beauty. Each has a crucial role to play.
As we begin this on-line experience, we have no real clue where it might take us or in what ways it might facilitate a stronger sense of community. We simply felt the need to create the space for possibility. We make no promises about how often we may add to this blog...Rosie and I just tend to go with the flow in these matters. We'll write when inspiration arises or when we have something we really must share. Meanwhile, please feel free to comment or to share from your own experience. These are such amazing times—so beautiful how we are each supporting the whole by sharing ourselves in whatever ways we do.
Thank you, as always, for supporting our work...and encouraging us to create a webpage. Please do help us spread the word that Plants & Planets has finally made it online! If you're on Facebook, please Like us or Share the site by clicking the links on the bottom of this page. Definitely smiling as those words are typed!
Sending love and blessings for ease on your path, Carol and Rosie
